3pronghook
ive got a 1000 i bought in 05. use it every weekend in the winter and like everyone else has said it is a nice reliable unit. ive got at least 2000 hrs on mine and other than routine oil change and occasionally cleaning the carb no major problems at all. thats a good price for a used one

Whoaru99
Any engine with oil in the crankcase is a 4 stroke, I have never seen a 2 stroke with oil in the crank case. FWIW, Detroit Diesel (and some others) made 2-stroke engines that had the typical oil in sump/crankcase design.
