St. Paul Hard Water Expo.

Did anyone else sign up for freebies or "win an ATV" type of give aways at the hard water expo? I did, and unfortunately wished I didn't.

I received a call from a company called "Midwest Outdoor Resorts", and they said I was chosen as one of the finalist.....

I'd rather not go into details because I feel like it's a scam.

Does this sound familiar to any of you guys too?

Got a call from them today - want you to come down to the MOA for a 90 minute sales pitch. Said "no thanks". this was the 4th call I've received from entering those drawings - learned my lesson.

How do you expect they pay for that fancy ATV other than selling you personal information?

And what are the chances they're even giving away that ATV?

Last year got a call I won a vacation just had to pay the taxes and fees up front of a couple thousand bucks. Lady was mean on the phone when I was skeptical. I hung up.

It's pretty sad the expo accepts vendors like these types to ruin it for other good ones.

i signed up for free trip to florida they called on monday and said i had won the trip. she gave me the company name, and did a little ckecking on the computer it was a time share trip no thanks.

Happens every year and people keep falling for it. Go back 12, 24, and 36 months and you will find other threads on the topic a week after the show.
