What do you guys use in your yours? I have an onan 1700watt. I cant remember but I tihnk I used 5w-30 last year.

Winter months 5-30 is just fine.

Yep 5-30 so you can pull it over on the coldest days of the winter. Switch to 10-30 if you use it in the summer.

AMS rep at the show had me switch over to 0-30 after hard starting/no starting on LOW. Switched over and it started great the other morning in the cold, we will see what it does on the lake.

I have been using 10w30/30 amsoil small engine oil in my yamaha and it seems to run great all year. I would think the 0w-40 powersports oil from Amsoil would be another great option.

FWIW, Honda recommends 10-30 for the EU2000. 5-30 is also acceptable, or can also use straight 30 if the ambient temp is warm/hot.

If you use synthetic you'll get easier starting at low temps even when sticking with the OEM viscosity recommendations.
