BronzeBrother
Well the so called weather experts are saying we have a couple cold fronts coming by this weekend... I'm tired of these quick cold snaps and warm ups. It's December and I'm still using my summer gear! Come on ice!
CrowRiverRat83
Too bad it's still not a real cold front. It's been so warm lately, we almost get giddy over single digit lows. What we need is some -10 nights and single digit highs.
OnAFly
Yeah, huge cold front down to near normal temps For some reason I have the feeling we're going to have a repeat of last year.
fishnowworknever
At least this time they are saying it's pretty much a for sure thing it's going to get "cold" and stay cold...with snow.
bigbad401
With some reports of up to 5 inches of snow for the lower half of Minnesota, that will not be good for the ice build up. Best bet is for no ice until after the snow comes. A lot of lakes I drive by are open again.

If we do the snow will just wreck it anyway
fishnowworknever
I'm thinking we wont have any ice around here before it snows, but once we get some snow on the ground that will help keep temps down and below where they should be. Exactly... It's a start at least. That last freeze up was a heck of a teaser. I saw how fast this forum lit up after the first cold snap... Buckskin
Hopefully this time around the cold will stay, if we get the snow they're predicting that should help keep the temps colder. Bring on the cold!
ice_medic
I hope it gets cold and stays cold. If we get the snow they are talking about here in sw minnesota i am not to worried about the ice at all. After the tase of summer he had down here it pretty much opened everything back up. So i will take the snow it will for sure help with the cold
Thunderfoot
Up here in Crookston they say monday the high is supposed to be 11 and a low of 0. Highs in the teens and lows in the single digits most of next week. Should have great ice in the northland soon. Only one day with a forecast above 32 and thats tomorrow with a high of 33 and windy. Make that ice baby!
