uffdapete
My daughter, who lives 1500 mi away, has a 97 Subaru Impreza - 2.2 4 cyl - that is overheating but only at hwy speeds - above 50 mph. She lives in a city and does mostly city driving and said it doesn't overheat then. It has a new radiator and thermostat. She's had in a shop 2 or 3 times with no resolution. Thanks for any suggestions.
fishnowworknever
So new thermostat and radiator...overheats on highway..was this happening before and that's why the new thermostat and radiator were put in?Or is this an issue after the work was done? If this a new issue after the work was done, I'd say it's air bubbles in the cooling system and they need to be purged.
Macgyver55
Has it ever had the head gaskets replaced? Its kind of a given on this vehicle.
