older Clam flip over questions

I've got an older Fish Trap Guide 2 person fish house. Got a few general questions...

1. Can the "tent" be machine washed?

2. It's older and has some holes so what has worked for repairs on some small rips and holes. (I've done some research and wondering if something like tear mend glues, iron on patches, official Clam patches, or sewing them, etc. has worked best.

3. Also may considering buying a replacement tent for it instead of repairing all the holes. Done some looking on their HSOforum but is there anywhere else to look for older model replacements?

Thanks!

I had a huge hole in an older eskimo shack, and i just got a canvas store to send me a big patch in roughly the same color, along with some 'tear mender' glue. While I was skeptical that the glue would work (it seemed too runny), it turned out GREAT. Held up for the next 3 years that I had it and sold it, and as far as I know is still holding strong.

don't qoute me on the this but I believe the Nanook skin will fit on the Guide 2 man house(same as a fish trap II). if it does you could get a full thermal one for it. I had a older (1994 model)fish trap 1 man and replaced that tent with a Scout tent. the scout fit perfectly on the fish trap I and this is why I think a Nanook tent would work on your house. as long as the dimensions are the same as a nanook you should be good to go.
