Changeing Lower Unit Lube

Is there anything I should worry about if I drained my lower unit tonight and then went north and came back and finished the job on Sunday? My thought is it is warm right now and the lube will drain better but I am in a hurry so I don't want to wait around for it to completely drain to refill it so I thought I would do that Sunday...Am I putting my motor in jeopardy with the freezing temps coming and having no lube in the lower unit?
