muc33
I was working a booth at the show, good turnout I thought. Love the free parking. When are you guys gonna get over Thorn Bros. I guess, I will get over Thorne Bros when they quit making a product that I like. I guess their worth is what I choose to pay for it. I have many many rods. Ask anyone who knows me, I have about 3 or more of everything. So by the way I score it. I keep buying them, because I find value in them. Ha! I guess, it's a good thing, I balance my check book since it's mine! Ha! I used this line more than once working the show on Friday. I am getting older, and it's getting tougher for me to tie 2lb test. So, I choose to do it this way. I buy multiple rods and reels, and lots of jigs, this way I can have 6-8 rods tied a certain way so instead of having to tie and re-tie, I just grab another. I use multiple styles of rods, from different lenghts to different stiffness, some are springs some are noodle, some are short, some are longer. I have what some would term as insane numbers of rods. From, old genz lightening rods, to many Jason Mitchell Rods, to other custom rods and yes, quite a few Thorne Bros Rods. Why, because I choose them! If they don't work for me, I don't use them. But that's the joy, I get to decide and pay for them! Ha! That's why when you see me on ice, I usually have 2-3 Stone Legacy cases and my Otter hard cases all the time. I said to someone at the show who was buying their first Thorne Bros Rod, dude, i'll warn you now, these things are kinda like Lays Potato Chips, you can't do just one! Happy Fishing! CITY LIMITS
The show was not that great at all ,there was suppose to be great deals on the portable houses all they had were 10% off. After paying 10$ dollars to get in the price on the augers and houses were the same if not more then gander, cabelas and fleet farm .After leaving Blaine I stopped at the gander show in forest. It was ten times better more selection better prices and I could actually talk to some of the guest speakers as well as get the info on the houses. In all this show was over priced and overrated .
