Custom rods

Thinking of a new custom shorty rod for gills, will be putting my Okuma SLV 2/3 on it... Whats everyones top choices besides TB, already have a few of those and looking for something different to try...

Well something similar would be a DH Customs or if you want to get really creative and unique, Bricker's Customs makes some really awesome rods.

- Both do also offer noodle rods too, and custom lengths. I wouldn't go smaller then 21". I do have a Mr. Walleye ice rod that is 19" but going too small you lose sensitivity in the tip and overall feel for carbon blanks. In the case of noodles I have a DH mini bite noodle which is 21" and works well. I have angled up 24"+ walleyes on it just fine.

Lots of good options out there but I have had very good luck with Austin Custom Rods and T7 Custom Rods. Both build to your specs. Check them out!

For a short rod I'd go with the DH Mini Bite Noodle. 21.5" rod with a 3" handle. Makes for a nice little rod with that SLV 2/3.

I've got 2 Austin rods, very happy with both. The good news is that we have so many excellent choices you can hardly go wrong with whatever you choose.
