Jimmy Johnson

Well, after the last 2 weeks, JJ is on a roll. This next race JJ is very good at and not so for Brad.

Will Jimmy win the Chase or can brad pull a rabbit out of the hat?

If Jimmy beats Brad this next race, I see JJ winning it again unless he breaks or DnF's the last week.

Just don't know if Brad can overcome JJ's & Chad's expierence.

Both JJ and Brad are running very well and unless one has a DNF, it should come down to the last race and maybe the last lap.

Maybe as close as last year.

If one looks at each ones avg finish at the last 2 races, it looks good for JJ.

Phoenix

JJ-5.3 average

Brad-22.2

Homestead

JJ-13.5, JJ does not do the best here

Brad-20.2 even worse than JJ

Really thought Hamlin would have been in it to the end, the guy is due.

Brad made just one mistake of driving his car too far into his pit stall and that made the difference in the current standings. Danica has the right to use her stall as she chooses but man, give a guy a break and leave him some exit room.

I'm rooting for Brad. The guy seems like a class act and especially for his age. He's doing a great job driving and the team is clicking real nice. I noticed the commentators were a little speechless about JJ's complainin that he didn't want to lose the championship to a dam kid.

When can a guy earn a little respect? I did hear JJs comment he appreciated Brad coming up to him after the race for a congratulatory handshake. Maybe it stars there?

JJ I believe really needs #6 this season if he wants to get to #8 and the best ever.

JJ is not that old but he is not that young either and with many great young drivers coming up, it will only get tougher.

Then Chad could always leave JJ and that may be like the Evernham and Gordo results.

Time will tell but if JJ does win the Chase and get #6 this season, he is a legitimate contender to beat or at least tie Sr and Petty.

I do not care for Brad but I will say that he is getting better every race.

Come pressure time in the last 2 races, I have to believe the biggest pressure is on Brad as JJ has been through this time and time again and should help JJ and Chad a bit more to not get all wound up.

We will know alot more after this Sunday for sure.

Sadly, one mistake this far into the game can make the difference between winning and losing.

I know the one local track my son races his modified at, with 3 races to go, the fellow in second and only a few points out was close and running very well.

Clint has won other championships and the other fellow has yet to win one.

The last 3 races, Clint clean sweeped all three and won it. I had to believe he and his pit crew had the more expierence and may not have gotten as near rattled come to the home stretch.

As much as i dislike the arrogant A$$ I'm afraid he'll win another one. Then all we'll hear about next season is "Ol six time". I just hope he doesn't hear a loud clank while he's strutting around the pits.

i dont jimmie has his nose in the air

if he does i guess he should...lol

I never thought JJ had his nose in the air.

He is confident but I do not believe he is arrogant. Big difference. Maybe just the way I see him.

If you want to win, you do need to be confident that you will. One cannot go to a race without thinking you will win or you may not.

I didn't think JJ had his nose up either until I heard the dam kid comment. Makes me think there's two verry different sides to JJ.

I started liking Kaselowski the day he grabbed the mic at the track and called out Kyle. cool In the press conference after when Kyle was asked about Brad's comment he just said "Who"? Asked again, he said "Who?" again. I think it would be fantastic to answer Kyle's question with "Brad Kaselowski, the Sprint Cup Champion driver". grin

I know NASCAR is a Good Ol Boys Club but what's the standing rule for when a young guy can turn the corner and join the club?

I see they were talking this am about the Tweet Hamlin made saying maybe this is the race to pay back brad for some of his hack moves this season.

I would not worry about Denny as he is talking about it but rather another like Kyle who also dislikes Brad. I would worry about the guy who says nothing as he is most likely to do the payback.

Taking Brad out today would be a hurtful one and a great time for a payback.

I would guess if that were to happen, NASACAR would hand out as very large fine.

I am sure that if JJ were to win it today, he would rather earn it the fair way.

Should make for an interesting race today not knowing what will or if anything will happen.

Yeah, that would be a real shame to payback someone at this point, kind a like the brawl that happened last week. There'll be opportunity next year for most.

I used to call Brad, "Crashelowski" but he's doing SO much better now. In my mind his driving progressed a lot like Kyle's did - always on the edge of out of control but they've both learned how to control it and keep the cars straight. Brad is racing with a lot of confidence right now.

Jimmie? Well what can you say? He's been the Ice Man for a long time.

Good luck to both and I hope they're left to run a clean race.

I was rooting for Sadler yesterday in the Nationwide but that didn't work out. Hopefully I don't bring Brad any bad JuJu. wink

I now saw Kyle Busch also tweeted about Brad getting taken out, the chatter continues.

If one was to take a driver out running for a championship, it then would be frightful knowing if the next year or in years to comeif you were leading, would that payback come.

Then, if JJ is close to Brad in second, will JJ run Brad and bump him like Brad did a few weeks back?

Lot's of things could happen but we will have to watch and see if it ends up to be a clean race like it should be. Emotions can get high.

Yes, the last 2 races really cost JJ in regards to winning the Chase.

I thought during the race when they pitted and could make it to the end and that Brad had 1 pit stop left that it could get interesting but then the pit mistake and then worst of all, he broke.

Cannot break the last 2 races and win it all in todays competitive races.
