I think I'm done for the year

Got chilled to the bone out canoeing and fishing yesterday. So I hung up the canoe in the garage and put away my open water fishing gear when I got home. Didn't catch anything anyway.

Got out a fair amount of times this year, put on some paddling miles.

Now to watch the ice form and wait till she breaks free next spring so I then can cure some cabin fever.

I've been delaying the inevitable as well....I did manage to scrap out a small largemouth from a local motor-less lake, but other than that, it's slim pickings for me.

Sure wish my canoe looked that nice, however. Sweet ride.

I put my canoe away about a month ago, but the boat has been out a few times in search of walleye and will be a few times more before the ice stuff starts getting played with.

I'll be out saturday for sure, on a local lake... and maybe even sunday if the wind isn't too insane.

Should be interesting at least, hopefully I can find the pike/bass for a bit.

That should be it though.... then it's going on the table and getting some work done.

Ice fishing... sigh. I do enjoy it but cannot get excited about it until mid december...

I was in that camp not long ago, but a few fruitless outings changed it for me.

I'm picking up a Clam Bigfoot 4000T this weekend to replace the Denali II which is too unwieldy and not flexible enough for me.

I think the roof rack is coming off tomorrow. Gets dark just a little too early now. Got out two Sundays ago tho and pulled a 21+ largemouth throwing 7inch grubs on those Esox Cobra jigs. Not a bad way to end the season...
