I have the lms 334c and I like it --- its not as precise as a vexilar or a marcum but it will pickup even small perch and 1/16th oz jigs....when i throw it above the hole with my rattle reels I can clearly see my jig, splitshot, and knot where I tie mono to the braid.

I will most likely use mine for a year or to more then try and find a lx9 marcum.

The graph is nice on the lowrance it allows you to see a history...if you looked away for a second and a fish came up off the bottom you would be able to tell that.

I bouught the ice fishing pack and battery etc for mine last year at scheels....was around $100 Ithink.

I use my 522 ice fishing all the time. I actually prefer to use it over my Marcum Lx3.

You definitely want to get the ice ducer though, its a fiber optic cable so it has a much faster response than the standard transducer. I think the part number is PTI-WBL.

Thanks for the info I looked at schemes HSOforum didn't show anything hope I can find the ice transducer. Probly be able to make a boat one work but they come with so much cord.
Reeds has the ice ducer as does ordering from the navico store (lowrance online store).

I tried buying just the ice ducer from the folks who sponsor here, but they do not carry it.

This is the correct part number. I just received mine via FedEx Saturday. Problem is I have no unit to hook it to since they were stolen.

Oh well, if insurance pulls through I will have a replacement soon enough. I had to buy the ducer though because they go out of stock real fast.

I've been using mine for a couple years now and love it! I love that it shows the history on the screen. I was fishing some crappies in 35-40ft of water using a small jig last winter and the unit had no problem picking up the small jig in 35ft+ water. I think I ordered my kit from the navico store.

Is there any interference when using side by side with Marcum and Vexilar. I am interested because I could use it for the bow of my boat in the summer also. Most of the guys I fish with have vexilars and it is not worth it if it intereferes with them or gets interfered with.
