Took my 8 year old son, my best friend and his son (my nephew), and my 2 1/2 year old Chocolate lab out on public land and we chased up 9 hens and 1 rooster. My nephew was shooting a single shot 20 gauge and he got a shot off on the rooster and got it (I took two shots also)....he was so excited, this is was his first Pheasant ever, he has only grouse hunted.
