Numbers from 1st Ripley Hunt

So some folks were asking for the numbers from the 1st Ripley hunt. Here ya go:

2,501 Permits Issued: 2,442 Residents; 60 non-residents

2,059 hunters participating (82% of those drawn, 2,099 last year)

Number of Hunters 10/18: 2,059 Number of Deer taken 10/18: 125

Number of Hunters 10/19: 1,928 Number of Deer taken 10/19: 81

Total deer harvested: 206 (10% success: identical to long term avg)

9th highest harvest on record for first 2 day hunt

191 residents & 8 nonresidents harvested deer

Number of hunters taking 2 deer: 7 (same as last year)

60.7% Anterless, 39.3% Bucks (last year~33/1% bucks, 47% historically over the 4 day hunts)

M-adult: 54(26.2%) M-yrlg: 27(13.1%) M-fawn: 27(13.1%)

F-adult: 66 (32.0%) F-yrlg: 16 (7.8%) F-fawn: 16 (7.8%)

LARGEST MALES:

215 lbs 11pt

211 lbs 10pt

211 lbs 12 pt

200 lbs 8 pt

200 lbs 14 pt

Largest doe was 142 lbs.
