how many Gallons

i have a 1976 arctic cat jag 3000
how many gallons of gas does it hold?
my neighbor has a 96 puma cat his holds 10

Those older sleds had much smaller tanks, something like between 6 and 8 gallons. Those sleds were actually advertised as the most stingy on fuel back in their day. Mostly the 2000 I think, though. Something like 21 mpg, pretty good for something that doesn't always have a smooth, low-resistance surface to travel on and has a constantly changing gear ratio. I don't remember any sleds from back then that had tanks much over 6 gallons.

thanks Mueske my neighbor told me since i have a 2 1/2 gallon gas can that can get me going

6.5 Gallons is what that 1976 Jag should have for a tank.
I rode a 76 Jag 3000 for 8 years. It was a great little motor.
