i have thought about getting a one man like the trapper. the only thing holding me back is the windows. eskimo and frabill have velcro ones if they crack, how durable are clams. i had a different brand house that the window cracked made a nice house go bad quick any thoughts on this thanks.

Never had a problem with my clam windows and I'm on my third shelter. Personally, I've never been a fan of the velcro windows. I guess they serve a purpose but I've always been more concerned with the velcro going bad than the sewn in windows on my clam cracking.

I've had a Clam Voyegeur since 2000. Plastic windows on door and rear, have never had a problem with them considering the amount of times the house has been set up and collapsed. The side windows are vent windows with canvas velcro closures over mesh for ventilation. the door window actually rolls up for transport or warm days I just leave it up and not unroll it at all, never been an issue, good thing for me....

I wouldnt be worried about the windows on Clam shelters. I put my stuff through some pretty hard abuse and have not had any problems, including an old voyager that I had for years - that tub and shelter along with the windows is still going strong!
