Replacement Gasket for Furnace

I have an inducer motor on order for my furnace (should be here tomorrow), and I noticed when I removed the old one there was gasket of sorts that kind of fell apart when I removed it. Just based on my usual luck (crazy) if the new part does not come with a gasket, can I use a high temp silicone instead? Would I need to wait for it to dry completely before starting the furnace? How big of a bead would you say I would need?

Is there a brand/specific type of silicone you recommend? Thanks in advance.

Many years ago auto stores sold gasket material in sheets. I recall making a head gasket for a go-kart motor I had. I don't know if they still sell gasket material, might be worth a call.

I recently bought a roll for the thermostat housing on my truck, so it is still available.

High Temp Silicone will work fine. Just dont get to crazy with it, if you have to replace it again you will have fun gettin the old one off. Also there sometimes is a orifice plate that may come out with the old motor. Just pay attention when you take it apart. If that comes out & you dont put it back in, the furnace wont heat without it.
