finding proper nock point

Recommended Posts

After reading how to find the proper nock point in my owner's manual of my Hoyt Maxxis 31, I'm still a little confused. It shows to set the nock about 1/8" nock high from level with your rest, but depending on the rest this height can be quite different. I'm wondering if there is a spot on the bow (berger hole maybe?) where I can level from to get a nock point, and THEN adjust the rest so it's 1/8" below level...thus ensuring level nock travel throughout the shot? Thanks for any help!

Yep, you want your arrow to be at the height of the berger button (hole). Obviously, if you have a drop away rest, the arrow should be at this height at full draw. If you work from that, you will be good.
