Which wear rods to get?

I am new to snowmobiling and I just bought a sled last year. I am trying to figure out if it is better to get the 4 dollar wear rods or is I would be better off spending some extra money. What do you guys think? I will be using the sled to pull the fish house and trail riding.

Spend the extra money and get carbide wear rods. They cut into the ice for better steering while on the lakes.

You get what you pay for, pay $4.00 and you get just rods, No steering.
