When I first saw this guy, I wasn't real sure what it was, due to the distance and poor light. It acted like a woodpecker but didn't look like one I had ever seen. I decided to snap a couple pics and look at it later on my monitor. After referencing my bird guide, my suspicions were confirmed. It's a juvenile red-headed woodpecker. I didn't notice the small amount of red on his head at the time. It's nice to know they're breeding in the area. I may go back and see if I can locate him again and maybe get a better quality photo.
