Dark Cloud
All this pepper talk got me to thinking, plus my sgarden is overflowing with stuff. We can alot of Hungarian Wax peppers but I was thinking something diff for on dogs, burgers, and sammies... Played around searching on the net - combined a few recipies and added a few thing and came up with a blue ribbon winner. Just a tad sweet, meduim heat, and tons of flavor... 12 hungarian wax hot peppers 8 green tomatoes 4 meduim onions 4 big bell peppers Clean all these up and chunk em. Then I zapped them in small batches in the food processor. meduim/small chunks... Now into a pot on the stove with... 1 cup apple cider vinegar 1 cup sugar 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard 1 heaping tablespoon minced garlic 1 tablespoon salt I cooked this over a med heat for about 30 minutes. If it seems kinda watery thicken it with a few tablespoons of corn starch or I used a product called "culinary secrets" thickener... Taste it on some crackers and adjust the heat with some more sugar, if so desired... Then into clean sterile canning jars and a water bath for 10 to 12 minutes... DinnerPail
Looks good, been looking for something to do with the excess from my garden as well. Think I'll give it a try. Thanks for sharing!
