I think "technically" it could happen...But the forecast for the next 10 days for our area has about zero rain in it-the ground is starting to get that cracked concrete look in the woods too..I would like to have some hope but the 10+ miles I have put on the last few days playing peek abo around the oaks has me concerned and doubtful. The problem seems to be they popped and then couldn't get enough water to continue development. I should have taken a few pics of the dried stunted ones I have been seeing-mostly about baseball size..Strangely I have seen very few chickens out recently too...Usually they are popping off and on all the time in the same areas I hit. I have only been chasing them a few years but it seems when they are done, they are really done..Luckily I have been able to stash a few in the freezer and am about sick of eating them fresh..
