Motel Recommendations

Recommended Posts

My brother is coming up from Florida to do some pheasant hunting the first week of November. I have been hunting public and private land in Lincoln county the last couple of years and plan on heading out that way for four or five days. Any recommendations for a hunter friendly motel to stay at in the Ivanhoe area?

I have stayed at the Amercinn in Marshall many times. I think it is 10 bucks for the dog, but it is a decent place with good food right next door. 20 min's max to Ivanhoe. It can be scary if you are hunting during deer season. I take that week off. Let me know if you need another gun and dog!

There is a nice Motel in Tyler as well. Probably the same distance from Marshall. But with very limted food access as compared to Marshall.

Check out the Camby area.

I can also lend a hand and with dogs, one rookie, one retired but she still gives an effort.

Always nice to meet fellow FM'ers in the field!!!

The Americinn to Ivanhoe would be a good 30 minutes and about 20 from Canby to Ivanhoe. I've never checked it out, but Canby does have a pretty new motel that I understand is pretty upscale for a small town, and also pretty spendy from what I've heard. Marshall has pretty much whatever a person wants for dining, with a couple new restaurants opening soon.
