Tuff Coat

Has anyone tried this for their boat deck? I just ordered some and hope its going to work out well. I will not put carpet back in my boat...that stuff holds water and stinks to high hell.

I havent tried tuff stuff but I did coat the bottom of my 16' aluminum fishing boat with Raptor truck bed liner. Sealed all the rivets and is super tough. I bought it at Napa. Comes in 4 quart size bottles.

I guess I should have updated this a while back...

After putting the tuff coat on and letting it "cure" for a couple days I did have some smudge off. I talked to the manufacturer and he said the proper cure time is 3-5 days.

After I let it sit for another week there was a world of difference in the durability of this stuff. It's really easy to clean, just wipe it down or even spray it down. Any touch-up spots required are easy to apply, just make sure it's clean and roll it right over the existing.

You do need a special roller for this stuff, I would think you can find these else where but they look like a normal paint roller with slots cut around the entire roller. Mixing is another key part in this process since all of the rubber granules settle at the bottom of the can, you need to mix it extremely well with one of those blade type mixers you put on a drill.

Other than the initial error on my part for not letting it fully cure before "use", I would highly recommend it for anyone looking to replace the carpet in their boat.

Kiwi grip was a little too high priced for me, but I read great reviews on that as well.
