smokeless two stroke outboard

eurolarva

Question

A friend gave me a 1975 4.5 hp merc that he no longer wanted to use. I got it running but it smokes a lot. Is there a synthetic oil I can use that I can purchase locally to help reduce this. I like the amsoil stuff but I need it for a trip to Mille Lac this saturday and doubt it would be here. I have the saber but it is only for air cooled motors. I tried to search but that did not help

Saber professional (which I have) is for air cooled equipment like augers, chain saws, weed wackers, Saber outboard is for use in two stroke outboard motors. Air cooled motors run a lot hotter then water cooled motors so you are suppose to use the correct oil for the correct motor. I went to the double f today and all they had was resolute which works well in my main motor. I have heard of a pennsoil synthetic but cant find it locally. This little 4.5 hp I got smokes a lot. Probably needs some seafoam and a carb adjustment which I will get to but now I am looking for a synthetic oil that is TWC3
