Hey guys,

Me and My buddy are looking into building a new wheelhouse before winter. Just running over some ideas about siding. Really like the idea of smooth aluminum, but we're not big fans of the cost. $60+ per sheet is gonna put us over budget in a real hurry.

I've read through some past threads about cheaper aluminum but it's thinner than the .040 that seems to be the standard. Is it a big deal to drop down to the .032 stuff???

Any info is appreciated. It would be pretty painful to drop $650+ on siding alone. Thanks

I used .032 and .040 back to back on two different houses. I'd not recommend the .032...it is just too flimsy and doesn't look very good at all. That extra .08 makes a huge difference.

There's .40 sheets available out there for $40 if you put the time in searching.
