Are there year round resident trout in these rivers, or is it just spawning grounds for superior run trout? I go to Duluth every so often to visit, and it'd be a nice change of pace to throw the waders on and snoop around these streams and see what I can catch smile

I have waded the Blackhoof for trout a couple times in the summer. It's been a while but I have found a few small Brookies in there. Actually I left the waders and just wore hiking boots. Feels pretty nice in these temps.
