how many baits used?

Recommended Posts

Just wondering how many different kind of baits typically one uses and do you use them each time you bait or mix it up? I use 4-5 different things and use them all each time unless I run out...

I put out about 2-3 buckets every 2-3 days.

Donuts or bread

Candy

Meat

Oats

Dog food

I generally start off with just the doughnuts an grease thing. wen I get hit then i throw some candy into the foiliage on the ground so they naturaly matt things down for shooting. after abotu a week or so of getting hit cisistantly i spice it up with fudge mixes an candy stuff as a suppliment treat not alot tho, I'll add meats an granola types wen it gets real close to hunting. With my 35 gal. barrel its 3-4 days between visits. wen Im on my other sites east on state land its every 2 with 2 buckets full, depending on wat I find at the site or if I really feel like hauling two 35 pound bucktes back out the half mile I just walked in. Time to hit the weight machine. I vary tho, letting the bear or bears tell me what to do. I like to save the real goodies for wen hunting gets closer 4-5 days away or something. I'm not gona put out candy stuffs an granola in the begining who knows how long it'll be before a hit, even then wen its first it who know wen he'll be back, so i wait till a more consistant cycle. Am I repeating or contradicting, uffda frosty muggs are going down to quick.
