attracting bears...most important thing?

So what is the most important or a key to attracting(then keeping) bears to a site?

For Example:

Site Location?

Scent to bring them in?

Bait used?

? ? ?

I think site location is most important. Getting down and dirty were the bears feel comfortable. Away from other baiters if you can.

If you can find a spot like that, the bears will be more likely to check out and stay with the bait. I have limited experience, but it made since to me the first time I bear hunted and I had success the 2nd night, so I dont plan on chaning my tactics.

I agree with lung, location location location if your not in an area that holds bear or an area that they feel comfertable in its really tough. Ive had sites east of me where i could attract bear in but just could not get them to hold, not because of naturals or compitions, I had food, water but the cover was not adequate for their liking. Gota have those three. Location then attract then figure out hopw to hold them their. OOOOoeeeeee its getting close.
