Show us your work area

To expand on a current thread, I have made the transition over the years from a cardboard box set up on the kitchen counter for a wrapper to a shop at my parents house while in high school, then back to the box in the bachelor apartment and now the wife allowing me to have a entire room in the house dedicated to rod building.

I have seen some immaculate rods come out of the smallest work areas imaginable and along with some of those top notch products comes some extremely creative ways to utilize the space at hand. Every time I get the opportunity to see a fellow rod builders shop I seem to take something away to apply to my own work area.

Please share some photos of your work area and maybe a gizmo or gadget.

And keep in mind that disorganized and cluttered work bench is a busy one smile

Every time I get Rushing talking about rod building I hear about how small his work area is.....I would love to see that wink

I either use the kitchen table, or the counter in the kitchen...... Next spring I plan to pick up a countertop and build a nice bench that will be designated to rod building and lure crafting in the extra room in our basement.

I like your table extention. That would be great for a kitchen table or portable set up.

Your tool holder look nice also. Very convenient.

Thanks for shareing, great ideas.

Thanks for the comment Wolfram. The table extension allows me to measure for guide spacing and working with flex-coat. When I don't need it I just remove the C clamp and stand it in the corner. I do need to get some better lights for the area.

here is my work in progress. I plan to add a 3' X 8'pc of white peg board from the top of the bench/shelf and then put another narrower 8' shelf at the top of the peg board and then on the other wall add a small 4' shelf.
