Thanks much for the compliments, gentlemen. I've been building for over 30 years. The handles are done with acrylic craft paints over cork or foam using various faux finishing techniques. So, the rods don't get much heavier than ones with cork handles alone. Lots of trials and errors to get some that look like something but the water-based paints are easy to work with and undesired results can be done over prior to a final coat of thread finish.
