high water bite???

Recommended Posts

With all the recent rains and storms coming back to back...when a guy DOES get a clear day or two...whats a good strategy for high water levels? The Wi flowages are wayyy full and moving w a lot if current. The lakes are over the banks...any suggestions??

I hit one tonight, could've been dumb luck or just the right place at the right time, outside weed bed, I went small, caught it on a simple chartruse bass sized spinner bait trolling.

After the weather we've had, between the heat and humidity and the rain, I just went for it today for a few hours just to see

i would think with the flowages that fishing the flooded shoreline areas would be productive. when i used to fish muskies in the reservoirs in missouri the flooded banks were always good in higher water.

you mentioned current too. figure out where that current is whipping around some major structure like a point or hump and fish it hard.

ty sennett also guides on the chip and in years past he's posted reports that should be pretty easy to find online, i'd check them out and see if you can get a feel for what's working.
