Transfer Case Bolt

Recommended Posts

Just picked up my 2002 chevy trailblazer from getting oil changed. The lady behind the counter read a note on the invoice that stated my Tranfer Case Bolt was stripped. I asked is that serious, She had no idea and the tech was gone for lunch. So what can you guys tell me about it. Do I need to race off to a mechanic? Will something fall of as I drive it home? How does a tranfer case bolt become stripped?

I would assume the drain plug for the transfercase is what they are talking about. I dont know why they would be checking bolts, other then just checking the fluids. You may have a leak
