Brakes for 2008 F150

Recommended Posts

It's time to replace the front pads and rotors. I've got 67,000 miles on the OEM pads and rotors. My questions is whether I should buy Motorcraft replacements? Does anyone have another suggestion? I'd like to save money, but I also don't want to change pads and/or rotors in the next 20,000 miles. Hope some of the Ford guys here have an opinion. Thanks.

I tow my boat a few times each month and pull my wheel house on the freeway a few times each winter. Most of my driving is commuting in the Twin Cities.

I tell ya what... I got about 90k out of the orignal set on my half ton I used to have, and have done them twice since then with wearevers (less than 40,000), and have also warped the rotors with both sets. I also ran 120K on my set in my one ton... and as far as I know they where original equipment... Dad ran around 90 on his 2003, and i believe around 80 on his newer 07 half tons.... IMO ford likes to charge for there pads... but they do seam to last a long time.... I put motorcraft pads back in the one ton front and rear, and didn't touch the rotors...
