AstroRails
After a couple of trips out with my new to me '81 Lund Pike on a 91 Shorelander trailer, we decided to get a set of trailer guides to help get the boat on the trailer a little more straight..So after a trip to MFF, I became the proud owner of a set of trailer guides. If this ended well, I would still be lurking in the forum instead of savoring a Schell's and writing this post. The instructions for the guides say they u-bolts can be adjusted to fit either a 3" or 2" trailer frame. Unfortunately my trailer has a 1 1/2" frame. Is there a place in town that sells u-bolts that would fit that size trailer? I've made the rounds to HD, Menards, and Fleet Farm.I think that Northern Tool might, but they were closed by the time I made my rounds here tonight. Thanks!Peter
pinkfloyd4ever
Isn't Hank the place with the helpful hardware man Just a wild guess because I am suprised the other stores you mentioned didn't have them
highlife4me
Just get a couple feet of threaded rod and make your own. I have to believe that those stores have that on hand. If you really want u bolts stop at a boat dealership they could probably get you what you want.

20lbSloughShark
I can't see how they look, but maybe just drill 2 or 3 holes in them and use 3" bolts? Thats how mine are attatched.
