Liquid fence - repellents

i added a 2'x16' flower garden next to my fenced garden. rabbits and squirrels diggin it up. has anyone had success using the liquid repellents? i live in town so lead repellents are not an option.

We use Liquid Fence brand and it works pretty well. In fact we just sprayed it tonight to protect some new flowers and garden plants.

I use the liquid fence. I buy the concentrate and mix it about double strength for best results.

I have had really good luck with liquid fence. Seems to hold of animals for quite a while. It's worth the money.

We looked up a concoction on line that one of the state websites talks about for repelling deer. I would assume that it would work the same for the little critters too. We have a lot of young fruit trees in our yard and the deer were just using them as a buffet. The $40-$60 every time we sprayed them was getting a little expensive. This stuff smells the same as the Liquid Fence and we can mix it up for about $5. It is 3 eggs, 3 Tablespoons garlic oil, 3 Tablespoons cayenne pepper. Throw these items in a blender and blend thoroughly. Dump them in a gallon milk jug, fill the remainder of the jug with water and set in the sun for a couple days to ferment. Shake up and pour in a standard yard sprayer to spray on your plants. I would recommend also dumping it through a fine paint strainer or something similar as the egg particles can clog some sprayers.

Two thumbs up for liquid fence. I refresh it every two months or so from spring through Fall. Too hyper Beagles help too. Last night I heard some deer blowing like crazy when the dogs were in the front yard baying like crazy.
