Whopper Stopper
Does anyone have the tranX? I have been trying to dig up some info on them but other than manufacture hype, I haven’t found much. I do know they cost as much as a scooter and are as heavy as a 56 Buick. Other than that I am all ears. Thanks for any tips or comments, good luck on the opener! MN Musky
Check out thorne bros. Bob Turgeon and other has some experience with them. Played with one today Curado on steroids was my impression. Ifthe store I was at had the high speed, i would have bought... yet another reel to revolutionize the muskie world.

DeBo101
Got to use mine for the first time in Wisconsin last weekend. I have the HG version. It's a big reel but far more comfortable to palm etc than a Abu 7000 or a shimano 700te. Speed and castability are outstanding. I've used a Trinidad 14 for moving blades fast the last 2 years and the TranX is faster and more importantly to me just a whole lot better casting wise. Has a levelwind so no more issues with line piling up and what not. I wouldn't pair it with a small bait rod as it is a large reel but is a great choice for big baits or moving blades fast.
