Up in Anchorage this week. Help!

I will be in anchorage this week with my fishing pole ready. Any information/tips you guys can give me about getting into some fish would be very helpful. Can you catch kings this time of year? Are there other lakes in the area where I can catch other species? Please help!

It's a little early for salmon unless you get out the ocean. Locally you can fish jewel or some of the area lakes. Google AK fishing reports and you'll come up with a popular site that has angler reports and the AD fish and game reports. Sounds like some fish off the homer spit, matsu valley and further north otherwise get on an ocean boat if your stuck on the roads get a book called the Alaska hiway anglers guide by a guy named gunnar p. Good luck and have blast, ill be up in June so save a few fish for me.
