The most expensive and best reel out there will backlash if you aren't using it correctly. The key is to spend time with it in your hand and figure out what it is your are doing wrong. I myself caught on pretty quick but still get a backlash or two when I'm out for a day, and this even goes for my Abu Garcia Morrum. There was a thread not to long ago on here about preventing backlashes. I would suggest reading that, some great tips in it.
