fishhuntwork
I'm remodeling my basement so I figured its time to update the fuse panel to a breaker box. I had someone come out today and look at. He told me I would have to upgrade my meter on the side of the house b/c it is a 60 amp and hes going to install a 100 amp box. So with that plus a 30 space breaker box with about 10 breakers how much can i expect to pay? He is going to get back to me early next week. JohnMickish
Is this an electrician doing it as a real job or a side job? If it's a shop and pulling a permit, breaker panel, meter socket, associated conduit I am saying on the high side of $1000, probably closer to $2000. If a new mast is needed add another $300. SkunkedAgain
You may want to consider more than 100amp service depending on what the incremental cost would be to go higher. Of course, it all depends on current electrical load and what you expect that load to be going into the future.
