dmichaelm
Heading to Eagle River June 8-10th to visit family and attend the beerfest. I have heard there is some good paddling to be done in the area, but I am wondering if I can fish also?We will have a 17ft old town canoe with 3 guys. Will probably buy a 1-day non-resident fishing license. Looking to have some fun. Would target smallies, pannies, walleyes, or even some decent pike for fun.Looking for lakes that hold fish. Don't need your spot, just maybe a lake name? Thanks
newoodhntr
Are you looking for lakes that are smaller? I could name a few if you want to fish between Eage River and Minocqua or you could fish the Rainbow Flowage with alot of shore line and bays to fish in. It is stained water and the fish tend to bite during the day. The bait shops in the area will help you out too just ask them you can buy your licensebthere too. dmichaelm
i would tend to be more comfortable in a smaller lake/lake that has paddling access close to good fishing spots.will definitely check out the bait shops but we are only in town for 3 days, so if I could ID 1-3 lakes that I can pick from, that would be ideal. newoodhntr
If you want to post your e-mail I can reccomend a popular fishing site where you could get more help in that area. They don't let you post other web sites here. My wife surpised me on my birthday with a guided fishing trip that weekend and I think we'll be fishing the Turtle flambeau flowage.
