Opener

Nothing like a really "hot to cold" trout opener! The ups and downs had no effect on the bite tho...caught many trout Saturday through Monday morning. Even got in on some morel action. The streams I fished remained clean with the rainfall although they are quite low.

Having got the chance to finally do that recently it makes me appreciate those pictures even more. Looks like fun!

I recall some of those spots. HP caught a couple off that rock wall. Just down stream from camp. Nice work! Spores and trout sound good about now!!

You haven't been to that rock wall...matter of fact, I've been going down there for over 30 years and I've never been to that rock wall

Started slow but got better with the higher temp. Mayflies were a 1st for me on opening weekend. This is a nice one I sent back.

Dang those are all nice fish! You guys fared better than me, I didn't catch anything on the vermillion river...usually I can at least draw a few strikes!

I wish I caught all the fish that hit the little green bug...it would have to be close to hundred. Most of the time they grab the tail and let go so fast you don't know what happened...yes, you got spanked Can't wait to get back down there. Maybe make another quick trip before Trout Day.
