Pike and Musky on Peppin?

I was thinking of going out this spring/summer on peppin for some pike. Are they more likely to be in the backwaters or in the main channel? I have never fished there before and want to take the kids out for some hopefully exciting pike action.

To the best of my knowledge there are no muskies in Pepin. Too bad, cause I think if it ever got managed for muskies it has unlimited trophy potential.
As far as pike, I'm not really sure where to direct you. One thing you might want to do is pick up the Pool 4 Hot Spots Map. I have one and I remember reading about some pike areas. Also try posting your question in the Mississippi River -Pool 4-11 forum.
