Got my first power noodle this am, had an okuma 2/3 spooled up & put on right away, thats some $$$ for a little ice fishing rod/reel. feels awesome in hand though. cant wait to test it (if needed) vs JM spring bobber rod next ice season. it could/has become a very expensive hobby quickly. thx to all on here for the thorne bros. recommendations.

p.s....holy cow those lowrance & hb 1197 gigangic fish finder displays look awesome!! even the hb 798 di looked great, hope lotto help comes soon.

My very first Thorne Bros power noodle is also in the mail cant wait for ice to hit the lakes once again so i can put it to some use. I did get to see a couple in person and they are pretty wicked. Also watched Matt Johnson break his tip... sucker

Stopped in at Thorne's Spring sale this past weekend. Wasn't looking for a new ice rod, but they had 28" powernoodle with outside titanium guides - couldn't resist the sale price - Picking up it up later this week after they finish personalizing it.

It'll be interesting to see how well it works with detecting those finess bites over my St Croix Legend spring bobber rods.

Nice addition to the Walleye Sweetheart & Dead stick TB rods I already have. My next TB rod will probably be a panfish sweetheart outside rod.

I got my first TB ice rod last year, and then another one, and then another one, etc., and now last week, finally a power noodle and deadstick arrived. I think I will be trying it out of the boat also. Great equipment!!!
