Diesel Spill on the Vermillion River???

There was a spill in Farmington near Rambling River Park from what I heard. It was sometime during the week of March 19-23rd. From the little bit they had in our local newspaper it said the spill was contained before spreading to far, and hadnt even spread as far as the city of Vermillion. Well to me thats an awful long stretch of river between Farmington and Vermillion, and contains the best trout fishing on the river within that stretch.

Was just curious if anyone else had more info as far as how extensive the spill was, how far it actually spread downriver, and what if any immediate effect it had on the fish.

Best bet would be to email your local DNR and ask them. They may know of any kills that have happened... from what i read it was about 25 gallons of diesel that leaked from a landfill that did not have permission or permits to store the diesel in the first place
