Bass Pro Crappie Max Pro Series Rod?

I had a Bass Pro gift certificate so I ordered a 10ft Bass Pro Shops Crappie Max Pro Series rod. I was more concerned about length when I ordered the rod and wasn't paying attention to the action of the rod because when I recieved it it seemed stiff for a crappie rod and then I noticed it is a medium light action! In fact the only action this rod comes in os ML no matter what length. Does anyone have this rod and what are your thoughts? It seems too stiff compared to the ultra light rods I have always used. Before I send it back I want to see if the 10ft rod lenght makes up for the stiffness. Thx

I bet you will be able to launch a light jig a long ways with that thing, I don't have any experience with that particular rod though. Although I built a 7' ML a couple years back and I love it for crappie fishing.

I'm in the middle of finishing a 7' UL and plan on using that this spring. Can't wait to get out.
