Anyone have an HDS10 on a 1850 Ranger Reata?

Jacob

Question

I have a 2005 1850 Ranger Reata. I purchased an HDS 10 yesterday and I think it's too big. The windshield and steering wheel sort of get in the way. Just wondering if anyone has this set up and can keep me from returning the HDS10 for an HDS8...

The red dot is where I have my ram mounted for a big graph on my boat. The graph is generally turned to the side facing the port slightly, but if needed you can pull it forward and turned facing straight back. I have an 07 (same as the 05), so the space isn't nearly as expansive, but the 2.25" ball fits in the space nicely.

Can you post a picture with the big graph on there? When I tried that route, the only way I could get it to fit was making it face almost completely to the port side. Thanks!

I have an HDS-8 on a RAM on a 2006 1850 Reata and am 99.9% sure I could fit an HDS-10 there too. Boat is in storage right now so can't get a picture for you. I have it on RAM short-arm mount on the flat part of the dash.

Sounds good. I played with it for a while again last night, it's dang tight but I'm stickin with it. Bringing it in Tuesday for the professional mount so I don't mess it up.
