hi i bought a used fish house it has aluminum siding of some sort. very thin and flat. they put it on with staples looks like the kind from a stapler (paper)anyway some of them are rusty i tried to pull them out but i think i will ruin the siding. could i put a small layer of silicone over each staple would that seal it and prevent further rusting. thanks for your help.

You could probably do that as a temporary patch but you really need to address it further and get a more permanent fix applied. It's hard to make suggestions without knowing what's under the siding and what the staples are sunk into.

If the frame work is good You could use aluminum terminal strip and silicone under it and screw off the ATS. On the corners use aluminum angle iron.

You should be able to get everything and the save big money store

I might try some of that stop rust. It is kind of like paint and is suppose to neutralize the rust. I think long term you have to get rid of the staples that are rusting and like other have said it might be easiest to re-side the house.
