Has anyone had sucess with a Wades Wobbler? If so what is your preferred way of fishing it - slow, fast, twitch, etc...? Also what is your favorite month to use it? Thanks

I love the Wobbler all season, but use it more in the spring and fall. I use it the same as others use the Suick, Rip it, Pull it, Twitch it or Crank it -- they do it all, and do it better than the Suick. You always here about Suicks that just don't work right, but never any complaints about the Wobbler.

Just go out and experiment, until you find what they want, every day is different.

Good Luck!
Steve

I have found that the Wades Wobbler backs up as it rises to the surface after being jerked down, this is a different action then a suick or bobbie bait that generally rise strait up. I find on a calm day, jerk it so it dives 3-6feet then let it rise and as soon as the tail of the bait touches the surface jerk it again. It should make a small ripple and occasionally a splash or popping sound when you jerk it under. I also would generally use a long slow jerk on a dark day or evening vs. short quick ones on a bright day. I'm sure there are other methods and sometimes they want the opposite of what I expect, but these are good starting methods and have produced for me. Also don't be affraid to experiment. best of luck and keep us posted.

It depends on the mood of the fish, and weather, but typically for me the more eratic the better.

I mix in short pulls, long pulls, long pauses, short pauses, twitches, sometimes in the middle of a retrieve I will just reel it straight in for 5-10 feet, followed by pauses, and twitches, etc... The more eratic the better sometimes....

Sometimes with a hard snap I can get it to turn around as it rises so that it will actually be facing a following muskie... That is usually dynamite!
