I asked this question on Yahoo answers but no reply yet. Bet someone here knows. I have an older friend who is almost blind from macular degenetation. I know there is a service for TV where a narrator explains what is happening along with the regular spoken word. I have found this is called Descriptive Video Service but can't find out how to access this service. Does anyone here know how. He is pretty "down" about this and i think this would help him a lot. Thanks!

Go into the television options and find the SAP(Second Audio Program) function and turn it on. Some TV programs have it but others do not, I believe all of PBS programs have it available for blind, but be aware they also broadcast Spanish over SAP on other channels, so it won't always work for the blind.
